How to Search for a Video according to its Length

When searching for the best content to suit your posts, it's quite common to search for videos of a certain playback duration. Perhaps you are interested in long formats or short videos depending on your article and target audience.

To assist you in finding the best videos, you can use the following 'length' parameter to search for videos according to a specified video duration. You can specify a specific duration or ranges according to your needs.

Search using the Duration Parameter

To search for a video according to it's length in the Portal, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to the Portal by clicking here.

  2. Hover over 'MEDIA' and select 'VIDEOS' from the drop down menu. The video library page is displayed.

  3. In the search field, enter a 'Search Example' according to the following table:

Note: The following table shows several best practices for you to choose from.

    Search Example Description
length:<300 Searches for videos under 5 minutes long (excluding videos that are precisely 5:00 minutes long).
length:>600 Searches for videos over 10 minutes long (excluding videos that are precisely 10:00 minutes long).
    length:>300 AND length:<600

Searches for videos equal or longer than 5:01 minutes and shorter than 9:59 minutes, excluding the precise durations (exclude videos that are precisely 5:00 and 10:00 minutes long).

Note: By default, when not entering an operator the value will be treated as equals. This means that if you enter 'length:300' you are looking for videos that are exactly 5 minutes long (no more, no less).

length:>=300 AND length:<=600 Searches for videos equal/over 5:00 and equal/under 10:00 minutes long, with the limiting values included.
    length:[300 TO 600]

  4. Press enter/return. Relevant search results are displayed.
